Roadtrip 2015

On Monday  July 20, a spontaneous  adventure began between 4 people.... Lol, but for real. It was epic. We left for Vegas sometime Monday night and arrived at my aunt's house where we stayed that night around midnight- only to see the whole family wide awake and greeting us. Even their ginormous St.Berdoodle (I have no idea how to spell that) was ready to play with us. We decided to go for a late night swim in their pool and that's when it hit me that that trip was only getting started, and it began on the right foot!

The next day we were able to go to the Mandalay Bay Pool all day! It was super nice and a perfect day to catch some rays. If you've ever been there you'd understand how awesome it was. We got to play in the wave pool and chill in the lazy river, encountered some drunks, had some laughs, and made some memories that day in Vegas. One of the highlights from the trip was probably the dance party we had in the parking lot, we sure know how to have a good time hahah.

Tuesday night we left to Zion National Park (HOLLA) which was breathtaking. Have you seen the stars there?! That was my first time ever seeing the milky way and words cannot even begin to describe the beauty of that place the whole stay we were there. Sleeping under the stars on top of a truck was an adventure itself, but the next day was an experience of a lifetime. Wednesday morning we lounged around for a bit, and then conquered the hike (or nature walk for most of it) Observation Point. Which is 100 times better than Angel's Landing, I promise. We were higher than it and could look down and see the place! The view was spectacular and we had some scary moments as the guys daringly performed some handstands on the top which almost made my heart stop. They didn't get hurt though, so I guess it's safe to say that was pretty cool.

After the hike, the day was not even close to being over. Cameron, a guy on the trip, had a canyoneering friend in Zion who was cool enough to take us on a free repelling course down some slot canyons! GUYS IT WAS SO AWESOME! I am terrified of heights and was hesitant at some points, actually thought I was going to vomit, but managed to get through it. The last repel we did was 120 feet-wowza. It was by far the coolest thing I have ever done. The canyons were beautiful as we swam through them in chilly water, and the hike back down through the river was rad bad. If I could, I would go back and do that day all over again 1,000 times- that's how epic it was.

I know writing about this trip or showing pictures and videos cannot even capture the amazing adventure we all had these few days. It was unforgettable and we were extremely fortunate to have been able to do all the things we did. THANK YOU FOR LETTING THIS HAPPEN EVERYONE WHO HELPED! Every second was a memory: the long talks in the car rides there and back, losing my phone in the soap dispenser (long story), eating at Oscar's (if you ever go to Zion, EAT THERE!), walking around Vegas, our dance parties, night swimming, jamming in the car, sleeping under the stars and just enjoying each other's company are the moments in life that pass us too quickly, and we have to make sure to soak in the beauty of it while it lasts. What an awesome trip with some awesome people. No better way to say it. If you wanna watch the video to our trip click the link here: http://youtu.be/LXne_8x66
