San Francisco Has My Heart!

Recently I went to San Francisco with my mom and little sister Hudsen to visit my mom's family. We stayed in her aunt and uncle's penthouse smack dab in the middle of the bustling city and the place was incredible! I more than enjoyed my stay there and I already miss it so much. Everything about the trip was phenomenal! We rode around the city in a red convertible looking pretty cool too.
We did a ton of shopping, went to Fishermans Wharf, stopped at the wax muesum, viewed Alcatraz and the ocean from pier 39, ate amazing frozen custard, and woke up with a breath taking view of the city every morning and went to bed with the busy glowing town right outside our windows every night. Also, want to know something scary? We stayed on the 17th floor of the building, and the windows had no screens. You could open them, and nothing was protecting you from falling out. Haha that was freaky.

There was so much to do in San Fransisco! I fell completely in love with the place and am already looking forward to the time I get to return.
While we were there we also got to spend time with our extended family & that was a highlight of our trip. The vacation was great to kick back and not worry about the real world. It's funny because we were actually right in the middle of a very busy city with a lot of wordly things going on, but my life in Utah seemed to be on pause and I didn't have to think twice about it here, even school! Sometimes a vacation is what we need to clear our heads and relax a little. San Fran, I love you. I'll be back.

I'm Alive & Here's What You Missed

Hey again. I don't even have to tell you guys how bad of a blogger I've been lately, because you probably already know since its been a while since my last post. And a lot has happened! Life just gets busy and very crazy and many things come up that make it difficult to find the time to write.
That's why I'm here right now though, to catch you up on what's new and what's going on in my mind. First of all I love my job. I'm a nanny and the kids I take care of are absolutely adorable. They're 2 (almost 3) and 5, both are boys. I can't even believe I get paid to have fun all day with them! So that's going very good.
Second of all school has been busy and stressful. The quarter just ended and I just got my SECOND 4.0 EVER. I don't know how it happened because I've been so busy with work; I can't believe I've been able to have time for school and my studies. I wouldn't say high school is necessarily fun, but I do enjoy the social part. I have the absolute best friends in the whole world. I have around 9 best friends, actually. And I'd do anything for anyone of them and I trust them all with my life! They make high school not so bad.
There are three major things that have
Happened since I last wrote. 1: I went to San Fransisco and will blog about that so you can see all my pictures. 2: Halloween. And 3: Bingham Ball. Halloween I spent with my friends and we went to a crazy party! It was so much fun, so I don't really have much to say other than that.
Bingham Ball was AMAZING. We went four wheeling at my friends cabin for our day activity and had an incredible time dancing that night at the capital. I had the best group and the best date there for sure!
Well there's the big things you've missed in my life. There's been a lots of ups and downs throughout the past month of October, but I know I have to stay positive and keep my head up because no one else can do it for me. :)

Happy Hope

In my life I always have a to do list or things written down in a planner that I have to get done by a certain day. I feel like I always have to be doing something, and when I'm not doing anything I get anxious. I don't know. Yeah, im weird. Of course there's times where I'm outside or just relaxing where I can be lazy and it's alright. But for the most part, I have to be productive or I go crazy.

I realize I worry way too much about the next thing I have to get done or what's going to happen next week or if I'll get the job I want, when instead, I should be taking it one day at a time and enjoying the moments I live through every second. I know I'm very blessed to have a family who loves me, a wonderful boyfriend, amazing friends, an education, a house, a dog that I adore, the special needs kids I work with at school, and so much more. The blessings I have are countless. I don't want to take them for granted and I don't want to hurry into completing the next task and forget how incredible life is.

I'm learning to trust that things will be okay, because they will. That goes for everyone! I know I need to worry less, and it will bring on a positive impact into my life. Look around at all your blessings, and don't rush yourself. Take your time. Relax. Enjoy the moments, they pass by so quick. I look back to last year and I can't believe the times has gone by this fast already! It's just crazy.

I'm sorry for this weird kind of rant post, but life is great you guys. Everyone should be happy everyday. You are so blessed. Even if you're reading this, you should feel privileged to have internet access! There's things you'll miss out on if you're constantly in a hurry. I don't want to be like that anymore. I don't want to worry about what's going to happen. I want to always remember it will work out no matter what. I want everyone to remember that! The huge problems in our life right now, may not be that big in a few years. Look at the bigger perspective. Notice the little blessings more in life. Take time to relax. Be grateful. Be happy. And live in every moment without constant worry.
That's all. :) these are random pictures of simple things in life I've taken this week. I hope everyone has a wonderful day. Be happy! :)

Basically the Worst Blogger Ever

Well, I realize that I have not written in a very long time! Haha you guys, I am so sorry! I guess I've just been up to a lot of fun things so I put aside blogging for a while. But I assure you, I'm back. And I've got a lot to write about and a lot of pictures to share.

I continue to practice my photography and I'm hoping to get better in time because I find it so enjoyable and I love expressing myself through it. Basically anytime I leave the house, I bring my camera Nikki with me.
So let's see, clearly summer is over. Wah :( I should've made a real awesome post about the end of it, but because I'm the biggest slacker ever, it didn't happen. However, I did make a video collage with a bunch of pictures from it! You can watch it attached in this blog post :)
I spent a lot of time outdoors, with Markus (my boyfriend), with my family, and also friends. I had a pretty laid back summer, but I'm not complaining! It was still a ton of fun. I'm looking forward to all the seasons that're coming up. I love the fall and winter! I'm going to make a list of things I need to do during these next few months just to keep my life entertaining.
Well people, you're reading the blog of a soon-to-be (hopefully) big time babysitter/nanny. I have two interviews this week with two different families for a job watching their kids! I'm so excited! During the summer I wasn't too worried about getting a job, but now I realize I need one, and there's nothing better to me than working with kids while getting paid! What! Crazy, I think It's awesome! So that's also what I've been up to, been trying to look for some jobs. :) I'll keep you updated on what happens.

I know this is a pretty lame post, and I'm going to be writing more specific ones today. This is just the boring one telling everyone how I'm sorry for being a slacker! I'll be better.

UTAH STATE FAIR

So on Saturday Markus took me to the Utah State Fair. OH MY GOSH! It was so fun! It felt like summer never ended. We looked at all the cute sheep, goats, cows, bunnies, and even saw a 12 foot long alligator. It was pretty bizarre! There was also supposedly a 100 pound rat in an exhibit there, but I didn't see it with my own eyes so I don't know if I believe that or not. I just loved being in the carnival atmosphere with all the lights and the smell of cotton candy and popcorn. It puts a smile on your face and makes you enjoy simple events like that in life :)

Mark probably gets sick of my constant want to take pictures of everything I see, but he was being a good sport and let me snap quite a few. Because, of course, I took Nikki the Nikon with me.

If you guys live in Utah and haven't gone to the fair, you need to fit it into your schedule. There are many shopping booths to look at, cool rides, carnival games, awesome exhibits, upbeat music, cute animals, and bright lights that are mesmerizing.

I know this was a short post, but I had a great weekend and wanted to share pictures with you guys! If you want to follow me on instagram, check me out at my username @itshoperylee. Just because school is now in session, does not mean the fun is dismissed! In fact, homecoming is this week and I'll be attending it with the one and only Markus Moran. Stay tuned for pictures and stories from that magical night. :)
