We do fun things

The best part about living in Utah is because of the mountains. I have a giant crush on them. Seriously they're beautiful all year round and there are always things to do when you're in the mountains! I'm ️lucky enough to have cool friends who like to hike like I do, and we explore some pretty cool places outdoor. Everywhere we go I'm always amazed at the beauty that nature holds. I love the feeling of peace when you're surrounded by trees and away from the rest of the world. Lately we've been up Bells Canton, Little Cottonwood, Big Cottonwood, and Milcreek Canyon. This weekend we'll go up to Park City! Of course we capture the moments we spend outside, even though a picture doesn't do the beauty of it any justice.
Pyper and I in our natural habitats here taking pictures outside lol. This was some random trail we found up Little Cottonwood!

Down below are some pictures from Mill Creek Canyon, which looks like Narnia.

This was a few weeks ago at Bells Canyon during a beautiful sunset. :)

Two choices

It's frustrating for me to understand why some people do the things they do. For instance, how come girls get so catty with each other? Why do they spread rumors? Why do people bully others?  Lol I honestly have no idea. What I do know is there are two choices about dealing with stuff like that: you can either let it break you, or you can take it and move on.

I hate being sad and I hate seeing other people sad! Sometimes we all just want to give up and stop trying, but that should never be what it has to come down to. You're the person that decides how you feel at the end of the day. Many people will try to influence you and poke your buttons, but that doesn't have to bring you down. I wish I could say I listened to my own advice all the time, but I don't. The truth is we are all human and we are all going to be sad sometimes. It happens. But happiness happens too! It's your choice!
Whenever I'm sad I try to think about all the plenty of reasons there are to be happy. I'll list some that I thought of today for you:
1. Nature. It's beautiful and amazing to be surrounded by in the mountains since I'm lucky enough to live so close to them.

2. Friends. I have some pretty dang awesome friends who I know I will always have. Everyone has at least one friend they can turn to. And if you don't have a friend, I will be your friend. :)

3. FAMILY! Oh my gosh I love my family! My parents and my siblings will stick by my side through thick and thin.

4. Pets. If you have a pet, I hope they bring you as much joy as my dog brings me. She's just so stinking cute and carefree that she brings joy to my life.

5. An education. Yeah even though we have to go to school for an education and that's a pain to many people, it's so amazing that we're fortunate enough to have an opportunity to learn so much every single day and it will help us work towards our futures.

Those are just 5 things but there are so many more than that. Look around you and find the small things even in your house and your surrounding environment that can make you happy and bring you up when you're down.
No matter what other people do or say, we're all awesome people and we should allow ourselves to smile and laugh and have a good time. You've got two choices! You can be happy if you look for it instead of focusing on all the garbage, because unfortunately it will be there sometimes. Block out the haterzzz cause haters gonna hate, so just shake it off (Thanks Taylor Swift). Also, here are some pictures that bring me happiness and make me realize that I want to choose to be joyful everyday!

Hey There 2015

Hello everybody! I told myself that this year I would be on top of my blog and start posting regularly, but looks like I'm not off to the best start so far since it's already 13 days into 2015. Oh well, better late than never! There's so many things to write about I wasn't quite sure how I would address them all. So, I'll give you a brief catch-up on my life.
The Christmas Dance:
I was very privileged to be able to go to this year's Christmas Dance with the best group around: The kids from peer tutoring! I'm a peer tutor for the special needs kids and that is by far my favorite class period. I could go on all day about how much I love and adore each and everyone of their sweet selves. My date to the dance's name was Tyler. He's a sweet, sassy, and hilarious kid who kept a smile on my face the whole time! He loved telling me how to dance for him, and I loved doing some crazy moves just to make him laugh. The whole night was incredible with everyone.

Christmas: Oh yay! Christmas was awesome. It was different this year than any other year due to certain situations, but I still loved it. I got to be with my family and that's always the biggest thing to look forward to on Christmas. Also, I was so excited to wake up Christmas morning and see all on the snow on the ground. Seriously, what a Christmas Miracle!

New Years: Hands down, I have the best friends in the world and I would not trade them for anything. A few of us got together and headed down to the Arvo party downtown! We listened to great music in our fancy attire, and danced our hearts out. It was a night full of fun and laughter and was the perfect way to ring in the new year.

Nanny Life: I LOVE MY JOB. I've been working for this family since the middle of September and everyday I grow more fond of each one of them. They have 3 boys, but only 2 of which live at home. The eldest at 5, the middle at 3, and the youngest at around 9 months. Due to health issues from a very early birth, he is still in the hospital. I love working with other people, especially children, so it is the best job I could ever ask for and everyday I get to be with them is a blast!

I'll be writing more from here on out on more specific topics, but this was just a brief one on everything that's been happening. :) I'm excited to see what 2015 has in store and so far it's already heading in a positive direction!
